Vijana Kesho is dedicated to improving child and youth wellbeing in Tanzania by focusing on Safe Families and Communities. Our core mission in this area is to cultivate thriving families and communities that are free from violence, exploitation, and abuse, replacing them with hope and opportunity.
We believe that providing a healthy start in a nurturing, violence-free home is every child’s right. Our strategy involves teaching each new generation how to form strong relationships rooted in mutual respect.
Our Approach to Safety and Wellbeing
This initiative is deeply rooted in the SAFARI Wellbeing Framework, specifically Pillar 1: SALAMA (Valued, Loved & Safe). We focus on the security and nurturing children need, while actively confronting the realities of violence and neglect.
